The 2013 Pittsburgh Pet Expo features pet olympics-style competitions. Spectators can watch their favorite breeds of pets participate in numerous events sure to entertain the whole family.
Three Rivers Dock Dogs
Saturday, 11am – 8pm (Big Air Qualifying Rounds)
Sunday, 11am – 4pm (Big Air Qualifying Rounds)
Compete or be a spectator as dogs from across the area participate in the water sports of Big Air, Extreme Vertical and Speed Retrieve.
Classic K-9 Dog Show
Friday, 6:00 – 6:30pm, 8:00 – 8:30pm
Saturday, 11:00 – 11:30am, 1:00 – 1:30pm, 3:00 – 3:30pm, 5:00 – 5:30pm, 7:00 – 7:30pm

The Classic K-9 Dog Show ranks as the most memorable and enjoyable canine entertainment show for audiences of all ages. They have been producing the show for more than 20 events each year, entertaining well over 2 million spectators annually!
They will make their Pittsburgh debut this year, hosting events selected from more than 17 different dog sports segments. The Classic K-9 Show derives its canine all-stars from cities across the United States and Canada. All participants belong to the world’s largest international organization of dog trainers, which has more than 18,000 members.

Pens legend, “Ole 29er” Phil Bourque will be at the P&C Replacement Windows booth (near the pool), signing Free Autographs on Sunday, November 3rd from Noon-3pm.
Speaker on Handicapped Pets: Patricia Holcomb
Pat is passionate about helping people learn how to care for their handicapped dogs. What seems to be overwhelming can be made much easier when you know where to look for help. She is the proud mom of Butch, Chance and Roo. Between the three of them they have 9 legs! All three well be at the expo ready to make new friends.
KDKA’s Dave Crawley will be on hand Saturday from 12:00pm-3:00pm at the the 2013 Pittsburgh Pet Expo signing copies of his two books: Dog Poems & Cat Poems.
Ask the Vet
Dr. Ann Herschl Cirillo and Dr. Stacie Katherman from the Seven Fields Veterinary Hospital will be at the Ask the Vet Clinic to answer any questions you may have about your furry friend. They’ll be delighted to chat to you about all things pets!
Seven Fields Veterinary Clinic
The clinic will host a low-cost microchipping clinic each day for $25 per pet.

The Wildlife Defenders Program is a wildlife education outreach group run by the day program members of Bridges for Brain Injury Inc, all who are adult survivors of brain injuries. Sharing live native and exotic species, the Wildlife Defenders visit schools, youth groups, nursing homes, community events, and the Canandaigua Veterans Administration, and present formal and informal programs and displays.
At the Pet Expo, the Wildlife Defenders will make their Pittsburgh debut sharing these live native and exotic species while performing several formal Wildlife Education presentations throughout the weekend. They will provide interesting and stimulating information about their animal ambassadors and encourage environmental and wildlife conservation awareness. Their expert staff will be available for questions following each show while conducting a “Meet and Greet” with selected wildlife.
Animal Reiki with Janet Jackson, CRMT
Sunday, Noon – 1:00pm
Ms. Jackson, will be on-hand to offer a number of avenues to assist you in deepening your relationship with animals by providing easy-to-learn healing and communication techniques. Janet’s work with animals has inspired her to share what she has learned so that others may feel more confident when dealing with animal issues and healing.
